Mainstream schools have made notable headway in inclusion of children with physical disabilities through increased accessibility and technological support. However for children with intellectual and multiple disabilities, there still exists challenges, such as curriculum that is not standardized, assessments that are not relevant and teachers that are not adequately equipped.
We aim to redefine the paradigm of education for children with intellectual disabilities, who would otherwise be unable
to cope in mainstream schools, by prioritising functional abilities and academic goals that correspond to different
disability levels. Our support to education interventions offer individualized education plans, trained special
educators, customised curriculums, medical and therapeutic interventions, and vocational training for older children.
Training for teachers/special educators on appropriate teaching methodologies and approaches.
Support to specialized model institutions across the country offering access to customised education.
Infrastructure support to schools to enable inclusive and accessible education for children with disabilities. Curriculums and assessment tools built focused on needs of children with special needs.
Our partners are thought leaders and expert providing education services to children with disabilities and work across different geographical regions. We support operational needs of these partners, capacity building and training needs, development of impact assessment parameters and resources for the sector and facilitate collaborations between our partners.
