Our Focus Areas

Urban sanitation in India faces many challenges. A significant portion of urban households lack access to sanitation facilities, resulting in open defecation and sets challenging conditions for women, children, differently-abled and the elderly. Taking forward the work in addressing open defecation, the next logical step was to pilot certain models in waste water treatment. Efficient and appropriate fecal sludge and waste water treatment helps in recycling water and also leads to significant positive health impact.
